Will global warming ever happen?

Posted at: 2015-03-12
look : global warming would definitely happen but it would happen slowly .

lets say about 100 years from now or something like that .

then you don't have to be worry about it .

It's occurring now although more appropriately termed "climate change" as the weather is going in both directions. Warming can consequence in cooling by the increased evaporation of water, increasing cloud cover and resulting the cooling of an area. This has already facilitated the spread of the chytrid fungus which has killed off a huge percentage of amphibian species already, this is just one of the many ecological disasters occurring in recent times due to dramatic and sudden weather changes known as global warming.

Now Global warning is burning issue for government as well as for us. So,government should take the precaution as early as because the normal temperature of the earth increase with the day...........and Ice mountains are melting day to day so percentage of water on the earth is increase so,government should take the steps against this issue...........!!!!!!!

It's already happening. The ice caps are melting which is releasing fresh water in to the ocean and the fresh water is in turn affecting the gulf stream. I thought everyone knew 'global warming' was already happening.

Global warming and climate change are buzz words used by government. In using them at every opportunity it gives them an excuse to TAX you more. The government supports research that goes along with this and will not fund research showing contradictory evidence. You can liken it to a modern day window tax - trouble is we cannot just brick the windows to avoid being taxed. For example £300 of your air ticket for a return air ticket to the states is TAX.People will always travel by air so the government will always win. There are numerous examples of this over taxation.

The Earth has always cycled between hot and cold and always will, we are still officially in an Ice Age, as long as we have ice at our poles.

But with just a 0.78 degree C rise in a century, and no rise in the last 16yrs, I don't see it happening soon.

It's happening.

Global Warming is weather change.

That takes place everyday.

Scientists views on global warning change with the wind. We have always had extreme weather with records being broken. The wettest Summer. The coldest winter. The great Winter of 1941/2 etc etc.

More recently we see some of the so called damage done repairing itself!!

The truth is we don't know the answer but I think it will be cosmic rather than earthly damage.

it is already happening, ice melts in the arctic. Freak weather all over the world, for the past 6 years, floods, very hot summer temperatures, causing droughts and fires. Unexplained deaths of the honey bee....

It already is happening. Slowly, but surely. The icecaps in the North Pole and South Pole are warming up, the oceans are getting larger and larger, and in all environments the annual overall temperature has gone up.

No. The earth has been going through climatic changes from the onset.

It is happening, that's why Arctic ice will disappear this year and we will seldom see snow again.

Arctic summers ice-free 'by 2013'

Arctic summer melting in 2007 set new records

More details

Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice.

Their latest modelling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years.

Professor Wieslaw Maslowski told an American Geophysical Union meeting that previous projections had underestimated the processes now driving ice loss.

Summer melting this year reduced the ice cover to 4.13 million sq km, the smallest ever extent in modern times.

Remarkably, this stunning low point was not even incorporated into the model runs of Professor Maslowski and his team, which used data sets from 1979 to 2004 to constrain their future projections.

In the end, it will just melt away quite suddenly

Professor Peter Wadhams

"Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007," the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC.

"So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative."

Snowfall “…a very rare and exciting event”

Posted on December 24, 2010by Anthony Watts

From the Independent, March 20th, 2000:

However, the warming is so far manifesting itself more in winters which are less cold than in much hotter summers. According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.

“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said.

And we are supposed to take these people seriously?

If you think like car mad Clarkson then no it'll never happen. Meanwhile in the real world, it's already happening. A combination of man-made and natural events which will change the world as we know it.

where on earth do u stay dat u don't know dat global warming is happening????????

it already is that is why we have zero sea ice in Antarctica, and the northwest passage is open for shipping as we speak

wait.. hold on.. I was just informed by the denier crowd that Antarctica sea ice is almost at record highs, and the northwest passage isn't open, so in a word...NO

you should be more concerned about the next ice age. its overdue.

Have you been sleeping for the last 130 years?

It already is

It is happening Moron

it already is.
