First Global Warming, now Climate Change. What is next?

Seems like finding a reason, I think next will be global cooling?

Climate disruption is the new buzz word

Since it is all about politics and not science, the buzz words are climate disruption but if they can find something that sounds better and fools more fools they will go with that. Climate chaos has been mentioned.

It would be nice if they just admitted, alright, we were wrong. Our predictions were ridiculous exaggerations. Our "science" was biased and flawed. But they won't. All they care about is the Cause. The cause is furthering their political agenda. That agenda is socialism.

You are wrong. First it was an Ice Age.

Life magazine of January 30, 1970, stated: “Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support . . . predictions” such as: “In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution,” and “increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will affect earth’s temperature, leading to mass flooding or a new ice age.”

Then it was Global Warming.

Then it was Climate Change.

Now it is Climate Disruption.

None of these terms has ever been scientifically or legally defined. Anything to scare the public and keep them in confusion.

"What is next?"

Whatever myth the fossil fuel industry tool politicians or anti-science blogs you are duped by tell you. So there is really no need for a fake question here.

Actually, for those interested in science and not anti-science lies, climate change was studied in the 1800s. "Global warming" to refer to the effects on climate of CO2 emissions dates from the mid 1970s (when the anti-science blogs falsely claim there was some great "global cooling" scare unknown to any honest person old enough to remember those years).

What do you mean First -> now? Global warming and climate change are two different simple terms for the same situation.

There is no global cooling and "the term climate change" has been around for decades it is just that since GW has been predicted to cause snow events as well as warming it made sense to refer to things as climate change to avoid confusion so lay people and deniers could understand it as one concept

watch Cosmos this Sunday

and watch Deniers heads implode

Climate change is the scientific term used because climate change does not exclusively mean getting warmer

No, global warming and climate change are different things. According to the UNFCC, climate change is not natural, but man-made.

Here is my prediction

GC or Global Cooling 2016

Most climatologist's will deny ever really believing in CAGW 2018

AGC Anthropogenic Global Cooling (IPCC reports CO2 causes cooling) 2018

And finally CAGC (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Cooling) 2022 Consensus

Global warming = An increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, CFCs, and other pollutants.

Climate change = A change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to Global warming.

The one; global warming is causing the other; climate change.

What is so difficult to grasp?

Seems like finding a reason, I think next will be global cooling?

Yeah. climates have always been changing so they can't use that to sensationally add drama to their concocted crisis so they coined the term "climate disruption." Now if only they had some empirical evidence of human caused climate "disruption" which there is none.

What name change, the IPCC has always been called the IPCC.

"The finding that the climate has warmed in recent decades and that human activities are already contributing adversely to global climate change has been endorsed by every national science academy that has issued a statement on climate change, including the science academies of all of the major industrialized countries."

SO, the National Science Academies of every single industrialized country have said that global warming is caused by our burning of fossil fuel, and the increase in CO2 is warming the world.

Now I'm not dumb enough to think that you're going to change your mind. It's not that you think you're smarter than all those scientists. It's not that you think they're all in on a conspiracy -- you cannot be that dumb.

The problem is that you really don't care. You've been told that the price of gasoline, and the price of electricity will increase dramatically, so even though you can see that the honest science is telling the truth about global warming, you just don't care. You keep thinking that you'll have more money in your pocket if we don't do anything. And that is true -- in the near future. In 20-30-40 years, it will cost you far more, but you really don't care about that. Either you're old and don't care about your grandchildren, or you're young and think that you're invincible and somehow the chickens won't come home to roost. As I said, I'm aware that I can't change your attitude. I cannot give you morals. I cannot give you brains. I cannot make you save for your own retirement. However, just because you don't care, does not change reality. The future will get here, and you're not going to like it.
