Would you feel guilty?

If you convinced only 10% of the world that the planet isn't warming at an incremental rate and everyone died a horrible death?

Would you feel guilty?

If I had an argument in which I was wrong and convinced a lot of people to drive off a cliff and die,yes I would feel guilty.

Coal kills more people every year than would not having a smoke belching power plant would help.

I put my faith in our creator who would never let that happen.

Eccl. 1:4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. KJV

Secondly, I don't have the power to convince people. Even if I did convince 100% of the people, what good would that do? 100% of the IPCC panel is superficially convinced and what are they doing about it? They put up a 25 year old hysterical girl to make an emotional plea, not a scientific one by any means, and ask for more money.

So let us look at your question in the proper perspective. It won't happen, but let us say it did. Would that be my responsibility? Or should it be on those IPCC geezers who scientifically sit on their hands and only say, "Increase taxes and give up more liberties and just trust us?" Should the destruction of the world be on my hands otr theirs? I have no power and they do. What are they doing to correct the situation? Taking our money through taxes, flying CO2 spewing jets on their way to worthless conferences and sleeping with whores while they are at their conferences. How will that solve an environmental crises, even if one did exist.?

Would you feel guilty if the reason many African nations were denied loans to build coal power plants, thus saving many lives, were solely due to your exaggeration???

DRolkrad,

LOL, you question could be the dumbest I have ever heard. YES ELECTRICITY SAVES LIVES. Do you think water processing plants run on happy thoughts and rainbows?

Here are some interesting statistics for you.

Over 4 million people die prematurely from illness attributable to the household air pollution from cooking with solid fuels.

More than 50% of premature deaths among children under 5 are due to pneumonia caused by particulate matter (soot) inhaled from household air pollution.

3.8 million premature deaths annually from noncommunicable diseases including stroke, ischaemic heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer are attributed to exposure to household air pollution.

Now would you like to go into how hospital use electricity? OR perhaps the average lifespan of a country versus energy consumption???

I think that global warming is a problem.

And, to be polite, that's a pretty unreasonable question.

Stupid question, yes, but I would also feel guilty allowing trillions to be spent on climate change when so many children are dying of disease and malnutrition in Africa, which we know is happening, we don't know if global warming will happen.
