Will global warming stop

In the short term not really, but it might slow down and there may be periods of cooling, but the general trend will be one of warming. This graph (link below) shows the global temperature for the last 130 years, the overall trend is clear but you can see that there are times of cooling or steady temperatures.

We’re likely to see a similar thing in the future and estimates are that by 2050 the temperature will have gone up by about 1°C and by 2100 it will be up by 3°C.
What does happen is that the rate by which the temperature increases starts to slow down the warmer it becomes, this is because the atmosphere starts to move closer to the point where it is ‘saturated’ and little further warming can occur.
Whilst we might not be able to stop global warming, we can certainly do things to slow it down and if we take action sooner rather than later we can significantly reduce the amount of any future warming.

I think you need to be aware of it and aware of the potential consequences – both good and bad. Most importantly you need to understand global warming in it’s correct context, and this can be hard to do given the amount of conflicting information, sensationalism, propaganda etc that’s out there.
For the majority of people global warming isn’t really going to be an issue, it will be like living somewhere that’s a little bit warmer. Some people will benefit from the warming, especially those who live in cooler parts of the world.
The people most at risk are those who already live in hot places and don’t have the resources to mitigate against the effects, and as such it’s something that is largely affecting the African and Asian nations.
The most likely change that you’ll see will be in the weather with an increase in extreme weather events such as floods and heatwaves.
Bear in mind that climate change is already happening and has been for some time. The weather now is different to what it was say 30 years ago, but because the changes are gradual it’s something we become accustomed to and barely notice that it’s happening.
It will stop with the next ice age, unless CO2 warms the planet enough to prevent the ice age.
You should not be worried, as warming from doubling atmospheric CO2 is about one degree Celsius. With some negative feedback to this warming, the effect of CO2 will be less than that. It is unlikely that natural global warming from the sun will never stop. I am basing that on the fact that the planet has been warming and cooling for billions of years, and I doubt we have runaway global warming just now.
You shouldn't feel worried at the moment, the media overdoes anything. They just want to scare you into thinking the world is going to end in a decade. In the past few years, I remember a story saying the world was going to end due to global warming back in the 1980's, so I wouldn't be too worried right now. :)
No it will never stop. Even if temperatures get colder, certain scientists will declare that global warming is ongoing, and worse than we thought.

Be more worried about the governments than about the environment.
