If Global Warming isn't catastrophic, then why do alarmists flatulently deny the catastrophic aspect of "good&q

global warming is not catastrophic in the long term.. talking eons here. Over a long period of time the CO2 of the plant decreases as it get caught in the mantle. And hence, what we are doing, releasing large amounts of CO2 may not be a bad thing in the long long long run(billions of years).

However..... increasing CO2 at an exponetial rate as we are doing now, will change life on the planet. It will also change climate, and affect crop growth rates and growing areas. This could be devastating if we don't plan for it correctly.

It will also raise sea levels substantially. This will cause mass migrations of people from island countries and coastal areas.

So, is it catastrophic. Yes and no. Its catastrophic in the short term, but as long as we plan for it, we should be able to avoid significant harm to our lives. The polar bear though... hes screwed.

We have about another 30-50 years before it becomes "catastrophic" anyway.

Good day.

I can't really figure out what you are asking. The question just seems to be a way for you to call people names, like flatulent and alarmist.

There is no good or bad CO2. Just like there is no good or bad water. You may call a flood bad water and a full reservoir is good water, but really all the water is the same. The full reservoir is just the right amount of water and the flood is too much. And of course a drought is not enough. So with CO2 the historic level is "right" and the modern level is too high. There can be a level that is too low, but our technology doesn't accidentally lower the level, so nobody talks about that non-problem.

Quote by James Spann, American Meteorological Society-certified meteorologist: "Billions of dollars of grant money [over $50 billion] are flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story."

We have had 25 years of warmers claiming global warming is catastrophic, but now that in the last 5 years that looks unlikely, the warmers are denying they ever said catastrophic, and get upset when us skeptics use the word. They make me laugh.

Just like Kano says, Alarmists are NOW trying to say they never claimed man-made Global Warming would be Catastrophic. But of course that is just another lie piled on top of a mountain of lies. Here are pages and pages of links of Alarmists claiming that man-made Global Warming will be Catastrophic. http://www.climatedepot.com/?s=Catastrop...

it seems you're playing a game.

Many, if not most, Deniers are Christian Fundamentalists who believe their god won't let us harm the environment. Or, they say foolish things like, 'the world will live on' as if it's ok that we make the environment harsh causing many weather related disasters costing trillions of dollars.

Conservatives made it a political issue.

If not for some greenhouse effect the Earth would be a winter planet.

As Maxx points out, there are many people who do use the word catastrophic.

If the problem is not serious why are we worrying about it? Why are we spending money on climate research when it might be better spent on, say, cancer research where there is a problem that needs to be solved?

I don't deny that global warming can flood millions of square miles of land. A 1 m rise of sea level will inundate 1,810 square km of land in Gujarat, 1,220 square km in West-Bengal, 670 square km in Tamil Nadu, 550 square km in Andhra Pradesh, 480 square km in Orissa, 410 square km in Maharashtra, 290 square km in Karnataka, 160 square km in Goa, and 120 square km in Kerala

Climate will get worse. "Catastrophic" depends on how/what is affected.

That outweighs any goodness of CO2.

Almost all funding for climate research comes from the government.

What would be the best way to keep the money spigot open?

Generating fear.

Your question is incoherent.

Seriously, if you want people to answer your questions (real answers, not just agreeing with whatever you say), then the question needs to make more sense--and, as a free writing tip, never use the word "flatutlently."

Plain and simple... claims of global warming is all about MONEY !

The word best describing global warming... GREED,GREED,GREED

Too much of a good thing is bad. You need water, but too much drowns you.
