How many deaths can be attributed to so-called "global warming" so far?

With your question I assume you mean ***MAN-MADE*** Global Warming and if that is in fact what you mean then there have obviously been ZERO deaths due to man-made Global Warming because there is NO man-made Global Warming.

In fact at the moment and for the last 18 years there hasn't been any kind of warming, man-made, natural or otherwise.

Death due to cold is far more likely. There are deaths caused by heat waves, including some where the 'heat wave' was temperatures at 90 degrees. There have been deaths caused by attempts to stop global warming, as higher energy prices led to less air conditioning during said heat waves.

Valleycat1 makes the point I was going to make – death certificates don’t identify a cause such as global warming, instantly negating your question.

Consider that all heatwaves that have claimed more than 1,000 lives have happened in recent decades. Statistics out today show that in Europe the incidence of heatwaves has increased by 1,000%. Until comparatively recently Europe had never had a particularly serious heatwave. The heatwaves of 2003 and 2010 alone claimed more than 100,000 lives.

The flip-side to this coin is that cold related deaths are now at an all time low. Here in the UK it’s now down my more than 50% (approx 60,000 per annum 50 years ago, now about 25,000 per annum). The decline in death-rates is repeated around the world.

Another two sided coin relates to crop production. In regions of the world with moderate climates the warming has been beneficial and yields have increased overall. In already arid and hot regions there has been a decline in crop production. Unfortunately, starvation was never a problem in moderate climate zones so the increased production hasn’t really saved any lives whereas declines in parts of Asia and Africa have caused hardship for tens of millions and claimed an incalculable number of lives.

This is one of those questions where you can make up your own answer and it is unlikely to be proven wrong. And the reason is that there is no clear definition for a "global warming" death.

The global warming category on Y/A should be moved over to the mythology category where it belongs.

6 just died in Japan because of global warming

I doubt there are any death certificates that state someone died from smoking either, yet we know that smoking kills.

No such data exist.

I say it's zero, as there hasn't been a single death certificate issued that states that the death was caused by global warming. Do you have any different idea on what you believe the actual number is?
