How come these cold fronts are so ill advised about Global warming.?

Global warming is climate. "It's cold today" is weather. Learn the difference...

There's a lovely analogy here: http://www.climatecentral.org/blogs/scie... about a man walking a dog on a long leash.

Also, there's the global vs local problem. The US is... something less than 5% of the Earth's surface. And cold and snowy weather in the US and parts of Europe is an *expected* result of disruption to Arctic weather systems. Basically, cold Arctic air comes south, pushing warmer temperate air into the Arctic, and thus makes the areas a bit south of the Arctic unusually cold, while the Arctic is unusually warm. It's not a matter of overall cooling, it's a matter of overall warming with a redistribution of heat that makes some areas colder.

All I can say is global warming my a-s-s. In the last 20 years my part of the U.S. has been experiencing some of the coldest winters I've ever seen in my 65 years on this rock. Yes, it may be hotter somewhere but it's damned sure colder here!!

Global warming is adding energy to the system (air, oceans, etc). The global climate is a dynamic system -- and when you add energy to a dynamic system, you get more extreme fluctuations.

A fact that any 6-year old on a swing know. She kicks the ground and adds energy to her swing -- and goes higher in both directions, regardless of which direction she kicks the ground.

As I said, any six year old knws this. It's only the so-called "skeptics" of global warming who don't get it.

Tell me about cold fronts when Earth warms by 20C.

edit

As much as I believe in AGW, Earth won't warm by 20C.

Perhaps it is you who is ill advised and who does not understand the basic concept of "Climate Change".

Cold fronts are weather, not climate.

deniers are so predictable. every winter it is the same. very quiet during summer heat waves.

no idea what global means when their limited world is usa

Perhaps you should study some physics and not try to anthropomorphize physical processes.

erratic weather is just what climate scientists predicted
