How can we trust climate science when they manipulate data?

I still haven't seen an explanation for the update that GISS did last year. It was only a few hundredths of a degree but the cumulative effect was to cool the past and warm the present. It also moved the peak to peak growth rate in temperatures from 1/60 C per century to a higher number.

There are limits to how much manipulation they can do as people are watching them more now. ChiefIO has done a good job unwinding the calculations of GISTEMP, and has found numerous flaws in their methods.

This is undeniable. Dear old Jimmy boy Hansen, the communist activist, the keeper of NASA and GISS data, caught red handed cooking the books. He even had to change 1934, a year that happened 7 years before he was born.

Phil Jones had to admit and apologize for cooking the books.

Jeff M: Why did Jimmy boy have to adjust 1934? Did the satellite change orbit? H-m-m-m-m? Ha! Ha! You are obviously so phoney.

Grungo: "How can I trust two blokes from Denmark" The truth can come from any source. Why would ANYONE trust a bloke who looks like and worships Karl Marx? Especially on a subject like climate? Karl Marx was in politics. The climate is science. It is obvious, you put politics over science. Of course, we could tell that by your answers.

Perhaps you should educate yourself on what they actually do with the data. They are correcting for the urban heat island effect. And during recent years, many cases of poorly sited weather stations have been fixed. But by fixing the poorly sited stations, they have introduced a cooling bias into the record, which was removed by further corrections in the temperature record.

The GISS dataset, which denialists love to hate, shows the same trend as climate skeptic Roy Spencer's satellite data.

Sagebrush

How can I trust a video of a graph taped to a see-saw?

How can I trust two blokes from Denmark who I have never heard about before, have no climate scientific training whatsoever and make sensational claims on a internet website titled hidethedecline.eu?

Adding onto Climate Realists statement some weather stations need to be corrected due to movement of those weather stations, satellites need to be corrected for drift and orbital decay, and so on.

Edit: The internet is a bad place to 'hide' raw data. Especially when it's freely available.

Many sources put the raw data right on their site.

Sagebrush: Satellites constantly go through orbital decay. And 1934 was changed for the continental US because of something Steve McIntyre, a skeptic, found.

That website is manipulating you. You should know better.
