Global warming or global swindle ?

You are talking about weather.

Global warming is happening

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010...

And we are causing it

http://c1planetsavecom.wpengine.netdna-c...

The ten warmest years in the instrumental record are 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2002, 1998, 2006, 2003, 2011 and 2012.

Ten years is weather, not even a complete Sunspot cycle.

Hello Armand. You ask my opinion but I am not sure it is worth anything.

What I read is that about three times per year, the jet streams get so weak that stationary high pressures form over north Europe. Here in Norway, we had a very cold and dry winter due to a long lasting series of high pressures. Since then many low pressures have moved in rapidely. That sums up to a colder average temperature. If the low pressures had come in the winter and the high pressures in the spring, when the sun's net radiatiion is positive (more heat gain during the day, than loss at night) then the average temperature would be higher.

I don't know about the global warming but I know that when I came to Norway, 38 years ago, the cabin of my in-laws, at 950 meters above sea level, was surrounded by bushes. Today those are small trees. So the temperature must have increased, right?

Incidentally, I am now in Lista, at the south of Norway, to participate to the ultralight aircraft championship, wish me luck! ;-)

Lakes dry due to lack of rain. Lakes dry due to excessive water usage, like Mono Lake in California. Glaciers melt for reasons other than man. Most of South Dakota was covered by a glacier. Of course that was before even the Indians came. The area of Chicago was once covered with ice.

Direct answer: SWINDLE! Listen to Maxx and the Sage, we won't lie to you or steer you wrong, unlike some of those others do.

Baccy Baby: Who do you consider 'top scientists'? James Hansen who got caught cooking the books and is now retired and a full time Communist activist. That top scientist? Or are you referring to those 75 scientists who make up 97% of all scientist?

I want you to know. One of those thumbs down is mine. (That makes six that I have given out) Your answer is so outrageously over the top, it deserves it. It appears that I am not alone in my opinion.

No wonder Dork is so screwed up. He gets his science from waiters. I wonder what university he went to, University of McDonalds, probably. And all this time I thought it was because he was living in his mother's moldy basement. I apologize.

“For me, trees have always been the most penetrating preachers. I revere them when they live in tribes and families, in forests and groves. And even more I revere them when they stand alone. They are like lonely persons. Not like hermits who have stolen away out of some weakness, but like great, solitary men, like Beethoven and Nietzsche. In their highest boughs the world rustles, their roots rest in infinity; but they do not lose themselves there, they struggle with all the force of their lives for one thing only: to fulfill themselves according to their own laws, to build up their own form, to represent themselves. Nothing is holier, nothing is more exemplary than a beautiful, strong tree. When a tree is cut down and reveals its naked death-wound to the sun, one can read its whole history in the luminous, inscribed disk of its trunk: in the rings of its years, its scars, all the struggle, all the suffering, all the sickness, all the happiness and prosperity stand truly written, the narrow years and the luxurious years, the attacks withstood, the storms endured. And every young farm boy knows that the hardest and noblest wood has the narrowest rings, that high on the mountains and in continuing danger the most indestructible, the strongest, the ideal trees grow. Herman Hesse

Plant a tree !

The earths climate is not as simple as that

You roll a dice. I have a 1 in 6 chance of predicting what you roll.

You roll a dice 600000 times. I predict you will roll a 6 about 100,000 times.

What's my point? Well, the value you get after a single roll of the dice doesn't alter the long term trend.

The fact that it is colder in Belgium this year (a single roll of the dice) doesn't alter the long term trend to increased global temperatures (lots of rolls of the dice).

The fact that you have drawn the wrong conclusion about global warming from a small data set from a tiny portion of the planet's surface area shows exactly why we spend years training scientists not to make such mistakes.

Global warming will lead to cooler temperatures in some parts of the world, Belgium and Europe being among them. It sounds contrary to the term 'warming' but it is a fact. It is because as ice caps melt it dumps icey water into the gulf stream and as a result we can expect much colder weather as worse winters in this part of the world.

Do a little research before you put all your hard work to waste.

To all the global warming nuts , This is summer ,It gets hot . and with the best of only 125 to 130 years of recorded temps , what do you base you THIERRY on . Their is no fact to a Thierry , that is why it is the Green House Thierry. Now I think the Sun is going away. Today was a little shorter than yesterday. My THIERRY is by mid May of 2014 , the Sun will be gone, and it will forever be night. Check for your self .The days are getting shorter.

What everyone says is that it is just weather, but when it happens year after year it's climate, and for the last ten years our planet has been cooling. not only Belgium but all over.

"Global warming" is a limited term for what is best called climate change. Temperatures are going up in some places and down in others. Lakes are drying, glaciers are melting, while some places experience longer, wetter/colder winters. Climate change is real. Who do you think is being swindled?

I have the temperatures measured in Brussels (Belgium) over the first 5 months of 2013.

Jan 2.1, Feb 1.4, Mar 3.0, Apr 9.0, May 11.1 The average is 5.3 °C.

The average over a period of 30 years (1998) was :

Jan 3.4, Feb 3.9, Mar 6.7, Apr 9.9, May 13.6. Now the average is 7.5 °C !

So who is fooling who ?

Over a period of 5 months we are already 2.2 °C down.

And I am sure that June will not be better. I live in Belgium

There's been no significant warming in the last 17 years, so it must be a scam.

Top scientists all say the Global Warming Swindle is a fraud -- including the scientists who appear in it and have complained. This guy Maxx is fully aware that it is a fraud. He promotes it any how because that's just the kind of person he is.

As to your "question", you will find multiple places where the troposphere has not warmed in x number of years. In Belgium, both the greatest concern of climate change (other than increased frequency of killer heatwaves) and the greatest evidence for it is the rising sea level. 90% of the warming of the environment is going in to the oceans and we see that in rising sea level and diminishing volumes of sea ice world wide.

Have a nice healthy plate of Belgium pomme frites and ask the waiter, if he made it as far as 8th grade in school, to explain basic probability theory to you.

belgium is not the world and weather is not climate. check link

Yeah, we've had some warming.

And now it's cooling.

These guys have it right.

Top climate scientists say there is no man-made Global Warming.
