Very interesting read. It is interesting that the year without a summer didn't even seem to stop the melt. It was a time of discovery. There were lots of pounds riding on finding the passage. Interesting bit about Cook and Bligh as well.

Right Jasper. Did they teach you in school that there is a hiatus (google the definition since you probably haven't learned that yet). Are you really suggesting that a hiatus is an incredibly fast pace? Instead of just belonging to a crowd, you should bother to learn something instead IMO.

Yeah global warming and cooling has been happening since the earth was formed. Its just that we fucked it up so bad its happening at an incredibly fast pace.
