Why is controlling carbon dioxide emissions particularly important in our daily lives?

d) All of the above

Who say it is? Those that do, want you to feel guilty, then they can hit you in the pocketbooks or easily take away your liberties.

"Fear is the most debilitating of all human emotions. A fearful person will do anything, say anything, accept anything, reject anything, if it makes him feel more secure for his own, his family's or his country's security and safety, whether it actually accomplishes it or not...."

"It works like a charm. A fearful people are the easiest to govern. Their freedom and liberty can be taken away, and they can be convinced to believe that it was done for their own good - to give them security. They can be convinced to give up their liberty - voluntarily."

—Gene E. Franchini, retired Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court

So make those that make that claim actually PROVE that CO2 is harmful to the earth. Scientifically the earth's temperature has recently gone down. At the same time the earth's CO2 level has increased. This is only one of the scientific facts that puts the lie to CO2 controlling the temperature. CO2 is a food and not a pollutant. Put your energies on something that will improve the earth and or your fellow man.

“The term ‘climate change’ is meaningless. The Earth’s climate has been changing since time immemorial, that is since the Earth was formed 1,000 million years ago. The theory of ‘man-made climate change’ is an unsubstantiated hypothesis [about] our climate [which says it] has been adversely affected by the burning of fossil fuels in the last 100 years, causing the average temperature on the earth’s surface to increase very slightly but with disastrous environmental consequences.”

“The theory is that the CO2 emitted by burning fossil fuel is the ‘greenhouse gas’ causes ‘global warming’ – in fact, water is a much more powerful greenhouse gas and there is is 20 times more of it in our atmosphere (around one per cent of the atmosphere) whereas CO2 is only 0.04 per cent.”

“There is no reproducible scientific evidence CO2 has significantly increased in the last 100 years.”

“Carbon dioxide has been made out to be some kind of toxic gas but the truth is it’s the gas of life. We breath it out, plants breath it in. The green lobby has created a do-good industry and it becomes a way of life, like a religion. I understand why people defend it when they have spent so long believing in it, people do not like to admit they have been wrong.”

'The theory of ‘man-made climate change’ is an unsubstantiated hypothesis'

It's NOT important to control CO2 emissions --- CO2 DOES NOT DRIVE TEMPERATURE LIKE AL GORE WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE.

There is NO **man-made** Global Warming and there has never been any.

What global warming? It's been cooling for at least 12 years according to HadCrut3 & HadCrut4 is nearly flat. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

According to RSS Satellite data there has been no warming for more than 18 years.

I dont think it is, but if this is a homework question I would go with D.

In my opinion our world has many more important problems than CO2 emissions, war, poverty, and health, over population, none of which will be reduced by controlling CO2 emissions.

a) The U.S. produces carbon dioxide at three times the global average.

b) The U.S. has 4% of the population but 25% of the carbon dioxide fossil fuel emissions.

c) Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas

d) All of the above
