Why is NOAA not showing snow and ice cover, especially now as October could be a record year?

Kano, you're acting paranoid. I looked at Baccheus link and the first thing I saw was snow cover.

You deniers see conspiracies everywhere. There is virtually no snow cover in the US right now anyway.

October could be a record year eh? *shakes head*

The record snow cover for the MONTH of Septemberr is due to increased snowfall over North America. They haven't even released the data for October yet.

The snow cover for North America for the month of September is 7.24 million sq km. Years greater than that are 1972 and 1977. On the other hand if you meant the YEAR of 2014 is set to become the year with the greatest snowfall extent you should realize that the year is not anywhere close to being over. Given the snowfall records of 2014 compared to previous years you would realize that they are all over the place. Even compared to the two previous years. and once again you are delving into your conspiratorial minded posts.

Given the rankings I highly doubt 2014 is set to become the year of greatest extent.

Baccheus. When I go to rutgers university and click on their monthly anomalies I get a graph for septembers that is completely different than yours, why is that? I can't copy the image to show it.

Edit.

Hah Baccheus your CHEATING AGAIN your graph is sea ice extent, not snow cover.

NOAA does show snow and ice cover. It is a simple Google search away - http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/snow-and-ice/sn...

October could be a record year for snow and ice cover ... where? For the planet? For the Arctic? For Mt. McKinley?

They do.

They provide maps of current snow coverage

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/snow-and-ice/sn...

Snow depth by station

http://gis.ncdc.noaa.gov/map/viewer/#app...

And tracking of extent by month for the Northern Hemisphere.

I don't understand what info it is that you are looking for that is not easily available online.

Because any data that shows that the planet is not warming needs to be squelched. Remember the science behind so-called "global warming" - 'Hide the Decline'
