reduction in greenhouse gases emissions

preparing for extremes of weather and storms

what's the GOP do? deny it even exists, but absolutely sure their god created the world in 6 days.

I'm not a Democrat but I certainly support their efforts to reduce our carbon emissions which would help keep the Earth's temperature at a manageable level. Direct legislation to do that would likely be to pass some form of cap and trade legislation, although I think a direct carbon tax would be a better method. The proceeds from the tax could be used to help those who are hurt by the carbon tax and those in essential industries such as food production and the balance used to pay down our national debt.

Indirect legislation would be to remove subsidies for the highly profitable fossil fuel industries, and increase subsidies to sustainable energy sources. Some things have already been done, such as increased mileage standards for cars, but there is a lot more to be done and it will certainly be an uphill battle to accomplish anything in our scientifically challenged Congress.

Dunno, but I hope it is very minimal, as the GW dogma is very flawed. Still I DO support R and D for a shift to alternative energy generation and new kinds of engines for cars and other vehicles.

How flawed? Just ask. Many, many problems, seriously. ; )

What exactly is the legislation you are referring to?
