The earth has cooled for over a decade, while the CO2 level has increased. Global Warming theory has been proven wrong.
My guess is you will probably die long before you reach the 80s. You kids spend way too much time texting and before long you will be driving too. There is an ever increasing death rate happening now from texting and driving and the danger is real. Those 80 year olds didn't have to worry about that stupidity back in the day.

yes it is happening. However, you will likely not notice it, as the temperatures will only increase by about 1C or less by then. Instead, you will be bombarded with stories about global warming being responsible for every hurricane, flood, or hot day. Perhaps they will get desperate by then and blame global warming for earthquakes too.
If you hear people claim we are losing ice at the north pole they forget to tell you that we are gaining ice at the south pole. That being said there has been no statistical increase in the earth's average temperature since the 1800's. However since 1987 (I believe that is the warmest year on record) the earth has actually cooled about 10 F degrees ten total. In conclusion, the earth warms and then cools and this is mostly due to the sun then how much CO2 is in the air.
Climate goes in cycles, sometimes it's extra warm and sometimes it's extra cold, it depends on the flares given out by the sun. Man doesn't have much effect on global warming, it is just a way to grab money and restrict everyone's life.

Well, I'm not so sure that it's actually happening, and I would put it closer to a misguided scientific opinion than a fact. All signs point to us being on a cooling cycle, which explains the increase in droughts, because cooler air aloft isn't able to create rain like warm air aloft would. I haven't really done my due diligence to studying up on this, but most experts I've seen that haven't been bought off by Al Gore (or so it seems) have been leaning towards the cooling cycle theory.

Yes, it's actually happening.
Firstly, we know a good deal about the climate of our planet. We certainly don't know everything, but we know enough about the laws of physics to be able to mathematically model the climate. We've taken data from around the globe, from trees, from ice cores, by looking at sedimentation rates, etc and used it to construct an idea of what the climate was like in the past. And then we run our computer models. We find that the models do a good job of matching what we think the climate was like in the past. We run the models for the last century. And we find they do a good job of matching the climate data. Until the 1970s ... after that we find the models that worked perfectly well suddenly don't work and don't match the temperatures we've measured.
Now, what that suggests is that something new has been added into the mix. When we mathematically include the cumulative effect of CO2 and other greenhouse gases that we've added into the atmosphere, the models come back into line with what we've measured. So we think the planet is hotter than it would have been, and that additional temperature rise is due to heat being trapped by the gases we've added to the atmosphere.
We've measured the amount of energy going into the earth and the amount of energy coming back out using satellites. They've shown us that additional energy is being trapped. By using balloons, we can measure at what level in the atmosphere that energy is being trapped. It's trapped at the layer we'd expect to find our CO2 emissions (the atmosphere above that layer is colder as a result!). We've measured the ratio of isotopes of carbon in the atmosphere and in plants and we've found that it is consistent with lots of carbon that has been buried underground for millions of years suddenly released back into the environment. In other words, we know that burning fossil fuels is adding CO2 to the atmosphere. We've measured the CO2 levels rising, and can now confirm that most of that rise is due to our burning of fossil fuels. Those CO2 levels are higher now than at any point in the past 800,000 years. We've looked at the oceans, and found their temperature is rising quickly, resulting in a rise in sea-levels. We've measured that sea-level rise by tidal gauges and satellite. We've seen birds alter dates of migration and the routes they use. We've seen treelines advancing farther north. We've seen plants flower and bud earlier than before.
Everything we know about the laws of physics and the properties of CO2 tells us our planet will warm due to our emissions. There's no maybe about that. We've known the physics for more than a century. We have mountains of evidence for more than 30 years. And in that time, no one has offered a credible alternative explanation for what we observe.
