First, this is May, so temperatures in the 60s are not particularly cold for Boise for this time of year.

Second, the west coast has been under the influence of a persistent upper level trough, which makes the temperature cooler than it would be otherwise. We will have upper level troughs with or without global warming. Global warming may make them warmer than they would have been otherwise, but they will still bring cooler than normal weather.

Look for the upper level trough to exit in the next couple of days and things to start warming up.
