In Fracking why do they use so many different chemicals?

If people wanted mass transportation they would be using it. Why do you think they should use a method of transport that doesn't meet their preferences?

Good old commie question. This type of question is meant to cloud the issue and is used by Professors who love communism. What it does, is make the assumption that chemicals are bad. What chemicals, specifically are you referring to? H2O?

Then you turn your question into an editorial going back to 'public transportation' and such. Same old garbage. There have been many studies which have concluded that public transportation has a greater passenger per mile expense than private, due to empty seats and scheduling. One such study was conducted by Bezerkly regarding Silicone Valley, hardly a right wing organization. It concluded that public transportation was 50% higher than private.

Biofuel has proven to be counterproductive, since it takes so much carbon energy (fossil fuel) to produce it and it has less energy per cubic foot than fossil fuels. Plus it is the cause for increased starvation in the world.

So your question has been asked on this site in many forms but always comes down to the same old communist claptrap.

In direct answer to your question: It is impossible to speculate on your question without examples of which you are referring to. There are chemicals added to your laundry, Wheaties, various foods, and gasoline, for example, all in the name of enhancement. These are all put therefor some reason.

Here is a question which you even think adding chemicals is alright. Is your hypocrisy showing?

Bio-diesel contain exactly the same amount of carbon and produces the same amount of CO2.

They say ah but the carbon came from the air converted by plants, so when we emit CO2 we are only putting back what we took out, but that is not completely true because they probably cut down natural wild plants that were catching and storing CO2 in the first place (okay not forever but long enough to be carbon sink) to plant the bio-crops which have a fast turnover from atmospheric CO2 to fuel back to atmospheric CO2.

All the time using up land that could be used to grow food crops or just as a nature reserve.

Bio-crops are an abomination.

I know little about fraking but the gas they produce is cleaner than coal.

They use the chemicals to enhance production.
