Can condensation be transformed into drinking water?

Can enough condensation be created to acttually provide to the public or atleast bottled as drinkable water or would atmospheric issues cause it not to be drinkable?

Yes it can, and on a large scale.

The type of device that most commonly does this is something called and Atmospheric Water Generator, they’re used in many parts of the world where conventional water sources are scarce.

An AWG works quite simply by reducing the temperature of the air in the machine to below its dew point (saturation vapour point). The excess moisture is normally absorbed by desiccants or can be extracted by pressurising the saturated air.

A large diesel powered AWG can provide about 5,000 litres of potable water per day, which is generally more than sufficient to supply the needs of a small village. Portable AWG’s run off solar power or battery power and are used by relief agencies in disaster zones and by the military.

Yes, but it takes a lot of condensation to make enough water to drink. Also, near major cities with a lot of pollution, drinking condensed water is probably a bad idea.

Yes, infact someone invented an object that converts condensation from outside into water years ago. Mike

We are now seeking for alternatives to supply our Basic requirements "WHY ?" because we have exceeded our Sustainable population limit, the Earth like a Room is meant to hold only so many we have Doubled our Sustainable limit and are on the way to Tripling it WTF ?. And we are supposed to be the Intelligent Species ? I am glad that I do not have Children because this is not a world for future Generations. A lot of people say when asked about Climate Change, Pollution, Depleting Resources, Overpopulation etc that it doesn't bother them "They Wont Be Here" then go home to their Families ?

There are systems available that convert any water into drinking water. Epiphany in New Castle, PA uses TV microwave dishes as solar collectors to purify water. No outside power source is used. They claim the water is pure enough to use in IV bags. But people have to have money to buy these systems.

That is what distilled water is. It is pure.

Several people have used water from condensation while out in the desert. That is one of the survival methods.

I don't think this is feasible as a large scale collection but on a small scale such as a back yard garden, yes. I think in an area with plenty of sunlight, solar distillation might be more effective. This could be done with a couple of 2ltr bottles and rubber tubing

Considering that is a frequently used distillation process, I would say yes.

yes

Condensation is usually used for filtering.

No, I don't think so. I can't imagine where we could gather-up all that condensation. Actually, I don't know how we could gather-it-up either.

Some people are saying that we're going to have to recycle toilet water and make it into drinking water. And fast, too -- because we are running out of fresh water.

In California, I'm 99% percent sure that we're going to have to recycle our toilet water. And soon.

Yes, to some extent. Here is an example:
