Other ( please specify ) Yes and No. I do believe that the warming of the globe is in part related to the level of CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions made by humans, but the planet also goes through warming and cooling periods that often repeat throughout history. If you look at a geological timescale of the CO2 levels in the atmosphere and the average temperature of the planet you will see predictable patterns. I would also like to note, that CO2 levels have been much higher in Earth's history, so the current rise in greenhouse gases (human-caused or otherwise) is not really hurting the planet itself, but it's hurting life on Earth. Species (including ours) have not had time to adapt to the quickly rising CO2 levels.

- Other ( please specify ) Yes, I do think global warming is a threat, but not necessarily to the planet. As I stated above, the Earth has gone through periods of much higher CO2 levels than the ones now, and the ozone layer is able to repair itself. What's most dangerous about our current rate of global warming is the profound affect it could have on the health and habitats of life on Earth. Species (including our own) have not had time to adapt to the effects of greenhouse gases because the levels are increasing so quickly. If Earth's average temperature continues to rise we will probably see a greatly increased rate of species endangerment (i.e. the polar bear), and even extinction.

- Yes. The current warming trend is primarily caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases. This is what the data shows. To see what is causing the warming we need to look at the frequencies involved.

- I would rate myself a 6 or 7 depending on what is meant by the world 'threat'. Global warming will be a threat in the long term due to changes in atmospheric circulation and water vapour, changes in weather behaviour in a warmer atmosphere, and so on. This will mostly affect third world countries and those without the ability to adapt (speaking about humans specifically). Economies will be affected, some more than others. Particularly in those areas of the world where it will be harder to adapt to the changes because the general population is poor or the country is run by totalitarian governments or dictators.
