Will NOAA and the GISS still claim that 2014 was the hottest year in the last 10 years?

ven when more record lows were recorded this year globally then any time in recorded history?

Each surface temperature reading is a direct representation of 250,000 cubic miles (500x500x1) of the atmosphere on average. That leaves out approximately 2,250,000 cubic miles of the troposphere that doesn't get measured (per temperature measurement). We know how fast temperatures can move upwards and downwards within the 10 miles of the troposphere. We also know how hard (very elusive) the "actual" global average temperature is to measure.

I have "no faith" at all with environmental climate scientists measuring the Earth's temperature and making "record-breaking" claims with any accuracy, especially when they continually adjust past temperature data. Nor do I have any faith about past temperature record keeping and its accuracy. Any accuracy pre-dating satellite measuring is always subject to human error. That's one reason why they keep adjusting the data. A 2nd reason for adjusting data is so they can bring temperatures closer to what their inaccurate GCMs are telling them. "Environmental Climate Science" has serious flaws in its accuracy and honesty in making any substantive "record-breaking" global average temperature claims.

Jeff M - Can you spell anomaly? I can A-n-o-m-a-l-y. I'll go even farther and give you a definition, if you'd like?

Anomaly - 6.

Meteorology. the amount of deviation of a meteorological quantity from the accepted normal value of that quantity.

NOAA and GISS will claim anything Al Gore wants them to say. That is a proven fact.

Care to show a link to back up what you say from an accredited source?

I can find this regarding the US alone.

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/07/31/so...

Let's look at it by month shall we?

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/global/201...

January: Fourth Warmest on record. 0.65C above 20th century average.

February: 21st warmest on record. 0.41C above 20th century average

March: 4th warmest 0.71C above 20th century average

April: Tied for highest on record. 0.77C above 20th century average.

May: Highest at 0.74C above 20th century average.

June: Highest at 0.72C above 20th century average.

July: 4th highest on record at 0.64C above 20th century average.

I can't find any claim for globally. Care to provide a link?

Zippi62: Yes we already know how scientifically incompetent you are. Thanks for sharing.

Record lows have nothing to do with it. You need to look at the average. As someone once put it (forgot who): "Just because it snows in your hometown, doesn't mean the Earth isn't getting hotter."

I could make up lies like you do, but I don;t need to

even when more record lows were recorded this year globally then any time in recorded history?
