Where should I donate money if I wanted to help make the earth greener?

Al Gore will take it. It will make his billion look a lot greener.

I am sorry to seem so crass, and I know you are sincere, but there is no environmental calamity at this time. And I know that your teachers have told you that we are doomed unless we do something, and you may have even lost sleep over this deemed catastrophic event. But one, it doesn't exist. No one has bothered to even come close to proving that it does exist. And two, even if it did exist the world has spent well over a trillion dollars on this subject and we have had no results. Do you think the puny, in comparison, amount of money you collect will help? And three, there are more trees on this continent than when Columbus discovered it.

However, if you still are determined to go ahead try this: Arbor Day Foundation. 100 Arbor Drive Nebraska City, NE, 68410 402-873-8701. They do a lot for the preservation of trees and offer a lot of good advice.
