Why do you believe so-called "global warming" is really happening?

What's the one thing that gives you faith that so-called "global warming" is really happening and going to harm the planet?

Based on the answers so far, they believe because they want to believe. By believing, they confirm what they already believed, that humans are bad and must be causing harm.

Bennett's answer is informative. It seems he believes if you jump in the ocean now, and it should be easy to do because it is rising so fast, that you might get burned by the acid and dissolve away. I have been to the ocean recently and it isn't dying. It is thriving but Bennett is going to believe it is dying because that is what he was taught to believe and it doesn't really matter because he cares more than those who don't believe.

The $5000 I paid to stop my house from sinking into the 10,000 year old Permafrost, which is now melting.

And, the only road to Dawson City being blocked by a slide, from melting Permafrost.

And, the Yukon River breaking up, on average, one week earlier now than it did in 1898. (We bet on it, so we know when it breaks to the minute.)

And, native hunters seeing new animals that they don't even have names for.

And, grizzly bears breeding with polar bears, as their ranges now overlap.

There is no doubt that Climate Change is real. These are just a few things that I have seen for myself.

Watching a town flood on a sunny day because of rising sea levels. Not just warming but go out to the ocean and check out the result of carbon causing ocean acidification. I'm not terribly worried about hotter weather personally. But the Oceans are dying and that is a big problem.

Couldn't post a reply so doing it as an edit:

So Sassy. No need for donations. It was shallow. Just a few inches in Miami and Tampa too. Sorry City not town. But it doesn't matter because according to you the oceans aren't rising and you can't be wrong. Even though I've been processing cases where power plants and such are being threatened by rising sea levels. But the evidence could slap you in the face and you wouldn't blink.

Because we know for sure we are causing the increase in CO2, and that would be expected to have an effect. We may or may not be able to predict the effect accurately, and the effect may (will) include changes other than temperature, but to just assume such a large change in CO2 can't possibly have any important effect is foolish.

It just makes sense -

Human activity (e.g. Burning fuels etc..) is causing to Ozone Layer surrounding & protecting earth to decrease

So, the sun burns more strongly on earth, the Ozone Layer is not as thick to protect us from the sun's rays!

Therefore, its hotter..

Get it??

That the vast majority of scientists in relevant fields agree that it's happening.

Additionally, it fits solidly with my understanding of the underlying principles.

because people like Steven Hawking say it's happening

and people like Rush Limbaugh say it isn't

What's the one thing that gives you faith that so-called "global warming" is really happening and going to harm the planet?
