Who benefited mankind more, James Hansen or Charles Kettering?

One actually benefited mankind and provided all sorts of inventions. They other just invented data.

I'd go with Charles Kettering, but it's a close call. Even without James Hansen, global warming alarmism would have appeared. The opportunity for a power grab s too great to resist. Now Hansen's strident activism highlights the case and frightens people away. At the same time, his support for nuclear energy or insistence that carbon taxes not make any money scares way the Greenies and exposes how much this is a religious issue as well as a big government issue.

So if he is saving people from adopting global warming policies, then that is a good thing even if it is not intended. Kind of like how Castro kept South America from going Communist just by serving as a horrible example.

Comparing apples and oranges again (while re-interpreting 'mankind' as just the population of the industrialized First World).

Edit @ Mike:

The CIA had more to do with keeping South America from going Communist (or any other political leaning more to the left than Washington) than Castro did. There's Guatemala, Argentina, Chile and Brazil to name just a few.

Well Kettering invented a wide range of things and was one of the first to become involved in large scale cancer research.so Kettering made the biggest contribution to human kind.

Hansen however has made contributions to climate science and should be commended for thgat

Who benefited mankind more, Roy Spencer or Charles Darwin?

Edit: And SageB, apparently, doesn't understand that his question is merely for trolling purposes. My response was to show ho ridiculous it was.

I doubt Kettering is trying to persuade anyone of his opinions by getting arrested with has been hollyweird types so I'll go with him.

I go with Charles Darwin.

Mr. Magoo.

I don't know who those people are.
