What one problem would you tackle to change the world?

clean energy production . back in the 70s i saw a patent for a freon wheel . . it worked on the same principle as those novelty perpetual drinking birds . a hollow glass tube in the shape of a bird with a felt beak rocks back and forth while dunking it's beak in a glass of water . the alcohol inside the tube moves back and forth because the water on the felt cools the front and moves the fluid to the back .

well , somebody came up with a system that uses a big wheel the size of a ferris wheel that is a closed system that uses freon to form an " inside out " water wheel . with as little as two degrees difference in temperature it starts to turn . it goes slow but has tremendous torque . a few thousand at every power plant that has waste heat could quintuple the power generation ( free , but for the cost to build and install them ) .

i tried to look it up recently but could not find it . my guess is that a coal or oil company bought the patent and locked it in a vault .

there are numerous patents that can give a standard GM V8 350 engine 90 to 100 mpg . again , the patents are NOT being used .

we need to tackle the greed of the oil and coal industries first .

Desertification, I am sure there is some sort of absorbent material we could add to some areas of desert soils, to prevent water run-off and increase soil moisture allowing more vegetation to grow.

engineer a way to remove the vast islands of trash from the oceans.

Just use the TRUTH! No matter where it leads you. One can never make good decisions based on lies, scientific or otherwise.

You need a lot of people.
