Your classmates have been asking this same question a lot today:

By recycling spent nuclear fuel rods, a type of fuel "MOX fuel" that is more difficult to control, and melts more easily can be used in nuclear reactors instead of the safer older type. http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/nuclear/wha...

The advantage is that the waste generated by this fuel can easily be reprocessed into nuclear weapons. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/renee-pars...

No need to throw away colorless topaz. It can be converted to a pretty blue and made into jewelry. http://truthfairytv.com/your-jewelry-may...

Radioactive gold can also be recycled into valuable jewelry if you just do not tell the jeweler that it is radioactive. This can be quite profitable. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=19...

Raw sewage can also be recycled into a valuable product. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/406067...

More traditional recycling creates employment for Chinese.

Every product took resources to make--energy and raw materials of some sort. Frequently, recycling reduces the energy needed to make a product relative to acquiring and processing raw materials--for example, it's much cheaper and easier to make aluminum cans from old aluminum cans than from raw ore.

Also, recycling reduces our use of raw materials, which lets us leave more of nature for purposes besides resource extraction, and/or leaves more resources for future generations.

And, it's something to do with our trash besides stick it in a hole in the ground, where it can do things like leach toxins into ground water.

through recycling most of the waste substance are recreated and with that the waste product are reduced. This reduce it damage to the earth and it environment

Two main reasons:

1) For the most part, it stops us using natural resources (be it cutting down trees or using some non renewables) for the production of new products, and instead we simply reuse what we have.

2) It stops our rubbish from ending up in landfills.

:)

rubbish wont end up in landfill and spoil the soil and stuff :///
