Your little rant tells me you know nothing about fracking. In Washington County and Greene County, PA about 800 wells have already been drilled with no problems caused by fracking. Recently a fire destroyed a drill rig in Greene County. one person was killed. But we don't know the cause of the fire.
Before you say one death is too many, remember that 36,000 people are killed in auto accidents in the US every year. No one is trying to ban driving.
One of the biggest is that our government didn't realize how much was out there and didn't bother to regulate it.
