Need info on "Air Pollution - leading cause to global warming & how can we prevent it" - 10 points!?

Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth. This is a type of greenhouse effect. The most significant greenhouse gas is actually water vapor, not something produced directly by humankind in significant amounts. However, even slight increases in atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) can cause a substantial increase in temperature. There are two reasons: First, although the concentrations of these gases are not nearly as large as that of oxygen and nitrogen (the main constituents of the atmosphere), neither oxygen or nitrogen are greenhouse gases. This is because neither has more than two atoms per molecule (i.e. their molecular forms are O2 and N2, respectively), and so they lack the internal vibrational modes that molecules with more than two atoms have. Both water and CO2, for example, have these "internal vibrational modes", and these vibrational modes can absorb and reradiate infrared radiation, which causes the greenhouse effect.

Secondly, CO2 tends to remain in the atmosphere for a very long time (time scales in the hundreds of years). Water vapor, on the other hand, can easily condense or evaporate, depending on local conditions. Water vapor levels therefore tend to adjust quickly to the prevailing conditions, such that the energy flows from the Sun and re-radiation from the Earth achieve a balance. CO2 tends to remain fairly constant and therefore behave as a controlling factor, rather than a reacting factor. More CO2 means that the balance occurs at higher temperatures and water vapor levels.

You can't stop or prevent air pollution nor global warming.

But you can reduce it.

Transport? A lot of people drive public vehicles nowadays and those cars produce a lot of air pollutions.

We can reduce it by encouraging them to take public transportation instead, raising the car prices and parking fees to discourage them to drive their own cars, etc.

Forest fires cause global warming in two ways. One of the two ways are by producing a lot of smokes and heat during the forest fire which eventually will be trapped in the ozone layer which causes the warming of the earth, global warming.

When we cut down the trees or burn them to clear the land, there will be lesser trees to absorb carbon dioxide. I'm not good with chemistry so figure out how a lot of carbon dioxide causes global warming yourself.

There are 2 types of air pollution that affects global warming: http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadsst2...

1) Greenhouse Gases (1)

2) Particulates (2)

Based on the wording of your question, I suspect that your teacher is a science challenged person who actually believes that CO2 is a pollutant, (4) rather than a nutrient just as necessary for life (5) as H2O (5B). Plants grow by taking the Carbon out of atmospheric CO2 and using it in their bodies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosynthe...

Thus, I start by telling you that humans emitted 33376327.37 Ktons of CO2 to the atmosphere in 2011 (3). Both CO2 (6) and H2O are greenhouse gases (7). The change in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere depends on the balance between what is released to the atmosphere and what is taken out (8). As Earth's surface warms, and thus, the ocean's surface, CO2 becomes less soluble in H2O (9), and thus, it may well be that the reason for correlation between atmospheric CO2 and global warming has to do with the warming causing more CO2 to be released to the atmosphere more than CO2 warming the atmosphere. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadsst2...

I ate mexican last nite and now there is seeious air pollution in myhouse.

Im doing an assignment for school and google has nothing what I'm looking for. Can anyone please state some facts & info that Air pollution is the leading cause to global warming (mainly transport and the burning of resources and stuff) and how we can solve/prevent this problem. Please state all the facts and give all the info you know. Thanks!
