My Dermatologist (It is a bad sign when you actually have a dermatologist) would warn against sun exposure. The baby oil doesn't really provide any protection at all from the UV (ultraviolet light). The sun ages the skin. For light skin like mine, the sun causes far more cancer than just about anything else you could mention. I hope you use a good sunscreen like Neutrogena Helioplex that blocks both UVs and keep your young skin looking that way for as long as you can.
You can do what you want, but i think ,and there have been studies that go along with it, that it is better to suntan naturally. In my childhood life on a farm, I would never wear a shirt in the summertime, except on social occasions. I would never peel and at the end of summer, I could be taken for an Indian. During harvest season, I would spend all daylight hours working in the sun, shirtless. But I was used to it then and wouldn't try it now,
However, as far as lotion or baby oil is concerned, anything like those will disrupt nature's method of cooling. Your body cools with sweat. This is natural and to interfere with it, is just asking for trouble. It is better to go at it with caution. Your body will tell you, because each person reacts individually. Just listen to it.

Please do not suntan. You may get skin cancer, which leaves scars when it is removed. One kind of skin cancer is melanoma and it can be deadly. If you tan a lot, your skin also looks like old leather as you age. Having your skin look like worn out shoes isn't pretty. I have pale skin and am now grateful for all of the times my mom made me put on sun block.

OMG don't do it unless you want your skin friend and not to mention skin cancer. Please look up info on skin cancer
i mean suntan only with baby oil instead sunscreen
