How much money has this world wasted on Climate Change and Global Warming?

Why don't you block these people that come into your threads and bring nothing to the table except inane insults?

To answer your question, I know the U.S. alone has wasted hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars over the last 30 years of this SCAM. But worldwide revenues collected by the GREENS for this SCAM could be in the trillions. They make their wallets very fat with our money --- that is why they fight so hard to protect this gravy train --- in spite of the fact there is not one iota of good science to back them.

Way too much, if they put all that money and research into developing safe efficient nuclear fusion/fission we could stop worrying about the non existing effects of CO2.

We had a molten salt reactor back in the 80's which was just ignored as it couldn't make nuclear bombs, what a terrible waste.

There's actually been very little that's been spent on Climate Change as such investments would no doubt hurt individual economies. European countries have invested in subsidies for renewable energy and attempts such as the Kyoto Accord were attempted so that no one could take competitive advantage of those who did choose to restrict their economies. The US subsidies were in the form of loan subsidies so no actual money was given if all went well. However, governments are driven by votes and jobs are of the most importance to individual voters so what is spent is typically in name only, to present an image or concern and being proactive.

As to Maxx's suggestion that you block respondants and I have no doubt that the idiot blocked me. He's only demonstrating his emotional need for validation by suggesting others to do as he has and demonstrated his complete lack of understanding of science given how important peer review is to science. I've worked for Universities and research institutes and have dealt with many researchers including those on the CERN LHC and those on the human genome project, scientists are an ugly bunch with name calling but discussions and cooperation still occurs. It also really takes true idiocy and a insular head in the sand attitude which is what Maxx exhibits to gather as much criticism as he has. As to your posts, you do have some indications of an actual education in your posts, I certainly do not agree with your views but you're not a complete lunatic like Maxx.

Well, right now, the costs of burning coal is estimated to be several hundred billion in health costs.

Annually. For the US alone.

So, at least a few trillion dollars, I'd say, due to that.

Or were you asking about efforts to prevent those costs? Should have phrased your question better.

According to you it was a trillion dollars, but you couldn't come up with anything that supported that figure.

EDIT: I see that Maxx is suggesting you block people like he does--he really hates it when people point out when he is lying.

EDIT for Sagebrush, who says:

" I gave you some samples and opened it up to you to prove your point."

Actually, it was you that couldn't prove your point. You made claims but had absolutely nothing to back them up. You wanted other people to give supporting evidence, but no one else came through either. You claimed a trillion dollars, and as evidence you said that the U.S. and Australia had given $100 billion each to the U.N., which still would have left you $800 billion short, if it were true.

I challenged you to show evidence that the U.S. had given $100 billion to the U.N. in 2012 (as you claimed) or any other year.

I TOLD YOU I WOULD PAY YOU $20 IF YOU PRODUCED EVIDENCE--YOU CAME UP WITH NOTHING!

Another EDIT for Sagebrush: Still no evidence to support your claim, you're too lazy to look it up? Ok, I will raise my offer. I will give you FIFTY DOLLARS CASH MONEY to prove that the U.S. gave $100 billion to the U.N. in 2012 or any other year.

I think we're into the trillions now, especially when you factor in the increased cost of absolutely everything.

None of it. Every penny spent, contributes to both, supports more population, makes more jobs, and it is all recycled to be used again.

Since money is a unit of trust (look at any US currency, it is printed right on there), trust is shared, and trust returns. Everyone's jobs are made harder trying to support larger and larger populations. Life always gets more complicated. Just get used to it.

Most of the money goes to weather stations and satellites that give us our weather reports. Is that what you consider to be a waste of money.

You're stupid and/or evil, yet he likes you.

He is also stupid and/or evil, but he likes himself.

He blocks people because he hates the truth.

The costs of climate change so far are peanuts compared to what it will cost in coming decades, if nothing is done about this problem (recognized by real conservatives such as Margaret Thatcher a quarter century ago) due to science-hating dupes of fossil fuel industry serving lies.

None, and Deniers should be jailed;

'ignoring climate change could sink the U.S. economy' http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/r...

None. It isn't wasted.

Trillion so far and nothing to show for it. Like the War on Poverty

probably more than they wasted on your education and a lot less than what it will cost to adapt in the future.

None. None of it was wasted.
