Antarctic sea ice extent just hit an all time record high. How could you think the planet is warming?

best answer has to be,, We are doomed

I saw a pic of the Antarctic sea ice and it's ridiculously high; I understand melting late, but this is crazy,

I was never worried about a mini ice age type scenario, but only found it interesting that things were pointing toward one, but as of right now I am terrified of what could come. I live in KY, USA and temperatures are expecting to drop below freezing like it's mid December for some, snow could be flying by Thursday afternoon across much of the Midwest, and Ohio valley, record lows will be challenged in many places, day time highs will struggle to get out of the 40s and even 30s, and in some places it's almost 2 months early.

The scariest thing of all is this could be only the beginning. I honestly wish the world would warm, but I am afraid it doesn't look like it will. The only question is, are we prepared for MASSIVE famine?

how about those Australian fires? What part of 'GLOBAL' cant you understand?

why look at extent rather than total mass?

A real "skeptic" would question

EDIT: The point is that one year is not climate, and one region of the planet is not GLOBAL.

BTW, most climate models predict increased Antarctic sea ice, nothing new here. The total mass of ice on the continent is still dropping.

Bushfires require droughts, this is consistent with a drying hotter climate. Several studies have made that link with climate change. I'll go with experts on this one.

Yes, it is explained by the fact that it is very cold in Antarctica, Very, very cold. In IPCC language you could say it is extremely unhot with 100% confidence. So with global warming you have more ocean water evaporating, that then lands as precipitation on the very, very, very cold Antarctic, which then becomes ice.

Even NASA admit it: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=82160&eocn=image&eoci=moreiotd

This is the highest Antarctic sea ice extent since records started being kept in 1979 (34 years ago).

Are there any explanations from the man-made Global Warming true believers?
