Fossil fuels. Earth's atmosphere. Global warming.?

It’s always very difficult to predict how global warming is going to affect things in the future. In relation to your question, we don’t really know when fossil fuels will run out as we keep discovering more of them, it could be as little as 50 years or it could be several hundred years, for the purposes of your question let’s assume it’s 100 years from now.

Future projections for global warming suggest that in 100 years the average global temperature will have increased by about 3°C.

These projections assume a ‘business as usual’ scenario. If we take steps to reduce our emissions, as many countries are doing, then this could slow down the rate of warming; an increase in greenhouse gas emissions could see a greater rise in temperatures. Natural variations will also affect the rate by which the temperature rises, and again, this could cause faster or slower warming then predicted.

The figure of 3°C is an average, it could be quite a bit more or less.

If this turns out to be the case then we will see a significant increase in global precipitation levels, this will not be evenly distributed and some places will become drier whilst others become wetter. Rainfall and snowfall will become more erratic with further increases in unusual and unpredictable events.

Flooding and droughts will continue to become more frequent as will heatwaves and other extreme weather events.

There will be massive impacts on water supplies with potentially hundreds of millions of people forced to migrate. Food production in hot and arid climate zones will be impacted leading to starvation and further migration.

Sea-levels will keep rising but faster than they are now. Some low lying communities will be lost to the sea, towns and cities on the coasts will face an increasing flood risk.

All fossil fuels cant be burned by a night so there wont be a sudden change in atmosphere. It will take a huge time to get exhausted so if we take necessary steps to control we can effectively control the amount of poisonous impact in atmosphere. Global warming is not only because of fossil fuels even though if we stopped the usage of fossil fuels by over night there are few more agents which can make enough damages to the environment. Its better to reduce the usage of fossil fuels as well as other environment hazardous thinks. If we go ahead without any precaution definitely the result will be more dangerous like Ozone disappearance.

First the term fossil fuels is misleading since hydrocarbons exist on Titan (a moon) ,no dinosaurs there. Also science has proven hydrocarbons are produced continually deep in the earth from non organic processes....Oil companies have known about this fact for a long time. As for global warming it is also well known that we are heading for an ice age .

CO2 levels were twenty times higher during the Pre-cambrian time, a period known for the explosion of life.

CO2 does not cause catastrophic warming, and because its warming effect diminishes with concentration, most the warming it can do has already been done.

Relax, about all that CO2 is doing is making plants grow.

very sad

What would have been the earth's climatic conditions or global warming by the time fossil fuels get exhausted? As these fossil fuels are being burned at an unprecented pace today; it will be even more tomorrow.
