Does Global warming cause meteors to fall to Earth?

Posted at: 2015-03-12
yes it causes everything, meteors, snow, nosnow, rain, norain, sunny days, cloudy days, tornados, notornados, hurricanes, nohurricanes, ice, noice, polar bears, nopolar bears, penquins, nopenquins, noreasters, southeasters, westeasters, westsouthnortheasters, pregnancy, nopregnancy, beer, nobeer

No. Global Warming could not cause meteors to fall on Earth because; global warming does not increase the gravity of the earth; also meteors are not from the Earth but from a distant place in our universe; and there is no scientific explanation or proof that global warming increases the chance of meteors to fall on earth

Also based on what I heard, maybe the CNN commentator thought about the link of meteor and meteorology(study of weather) because of their same root words

Possibly hydrometeors, ha ha ha...sorry, that's a joke for meteorology geeks.

I think the question is a general reflection of science illiteracy in the U.S. Just look at the answers to this question and others in here. The guy casting aspersions on Bill Nye in his answer said in another of his "answers" that winter occurs because the Earth is farther from the sun--how's that for scientific knowledge?

I don't think you should be too quick to judge the reporter, either--she may have just been giving voice to a question that she thought many viewers would have.

This is just a filler question, so that Bill Nye's show can seem to have a purpose. Otherwise, it's a load of bollocks.

Apparently the stupider you are the better the chance you work for CNN

GW isn't cause by anything from outer space nor will it make meteors fall on earth

You will get more lies and misinformation about GW from youtube videos than almost anywhere else

I see Sagebrush is lying again. Bill said nothing about global warming nor did he carry it on. He actually completely ignored the question with regards to global warming.

Now you have done it, you will be accused by Phoenix Quill of being one of those "dead serious Socialists leading an army of useful idiots" for asking this.

But to answer your question, no, asteroids are not caused by global warming.

metors and global warming has no link so it wont cause meteors to fall to earth

Probably, check skepticalscience.com for confirmation.

Ha! Ha! Isn't that hilarious! Notice, Bill Nye the Science Lie didn't shut it down but went along with it. It probably sounded good to him too.

Here is another one of dauntless Bill doing an experiment with Al Gore.

That one is so bogus it couldn't fool a grade school science class, at least one in my day. But it is good for a laugh.

Is this the most ridiculous question ever asked by a CNN commentator?

Deborah Feyerick asked Bill Nye "the science guy" this past Saturday, if the approaching Asteroid 2012 DA14, was caused by global warming!

What kind of standards does CNN have for reporters? (simply being able to talk without drooling) at least on camera....

The thinner the atmosphere the more susceptible to magnetism.

Anyways...
