CO2 is a fertilizer, it helps plants grow faster and healthier, promotes more roots, more soil organisms, more plants more habitat for creatures, more plants more cooling water vapor transpired into the atmosphere.
More CO2 means improved crop production more food for people.

A good research topic on climate change is on specie migration. There is a lot of data to draw from on this. A prime example would be the pine beetle. Plants, insects, mammals and birds are expanding/changing from their prior areas of habitation. They are moving into and becoming established in areas that were previously too cold for them to do so.
