Well I cant see us getting farther away than the solar system not without some major advance in space drives. and where in the solar system would you want to settle Mars (too cold and dry) asteroids maybe just for mining minerals, Jupiter or Saturn's moons maybe but think not, but I'm all for trying one day humans will have to or die out when the sun expands.
