Let's take a university in which climatologists are working. They apply for funding. They write up a proposal, publish that proposal, have that reviewed, and have it either accepted or rejected. This is an open, transparent action. You can go on the web, look at the proposals, look at who wrote them, and look at who reviewed them. The successful scientists then is granted money for research. That research funding needs to be accounted for. It does not go into the pocket of the scientists since their salary is paid by the university. It goes for capital expenditure, funding postgraduate students wishing to pursue a PhD, travel costs for attending conferences, consumable items, postdoctoral researchers, etc. Those people then do research under the supervision of the person who applied for the grant. They try to publish papers (most of which are now publicly available by the institution).

Now, I'd like you to explain to us all where in that process scientists have to agree with the idea of global warming? Their salaries are paid irrespective of their belief. The funding goes on research, not into their personal bank accounts.

Which do you think is more likely? Professional scientists who have little to gain by declaring their acceptance of global warming are lying to us, OR the anti-global warming arguments are advanced by multinational companies with billion dollar profits who do not want green energy gaining a foothold in the market they dominate?

Seeing that we have had several ice ages over the many million years come and go - why should anyone think that humans are responsible for climate change? No cars, no gasoline engines, no coal furnaces millions of years ago - even no people to blame previous climate changes on too!

The US government supports the scientists who believe humans are causing climate change/global warming because that way taxes can be raised and thereby have more control over our daily lives!

If there were no human beings on our earth - global warming will still take place! Just over 20,000 years ago North America was covered with ice - no ice now! And this ice melted all by itself without any help from mankind or modern industry!

Global warming is just a scam for the government to grab more money from taxpayers and control their lives!

It is simply another attempt at an association fallacy [2] by trying to imply that because those people said something that sounds suspicious, that the whole humanist and scientific community is "bad" Maybe he is trying to divert attention from himself. Not surprising since here are some quotes made by Sagebrush (who frequently quotes Nazi's to further his cause)

Yet again someone needs to learn the difference between global and local.

Since you know everything in the world and have nothing more to learn, please explain to us why you are experiencing Arctic air again. Movements of cold arctic air have dropped further to the south more frequently over the past years. Every time that happens the uneducated idiots run around crying global cooling, but never attempt to explain why they got cold while places in the arctic are having heat waves.

Mr know everything, if the cold air isn't dropping to you because the jet stream has become wavier, then why? Are you telling us that the weather is now not moving with the jet stream? Explain that. And if the weather is traveling with the jet stream as always, then why has it become wavier? The climatologists who know far less than you do believe that the jet stream becomes wavier when it slows. And they measure it and find that it has lost power and slowed by 14% since the 1990s. And they believe that the jet stream is created by the difference in temperatures between the arctic and lower latitudes. And they believe the difference between temperatures had decreased, because they do stuff like measure the temperatures and the ice volume. So scientist who actually do the work are seeing the change of weather patterns tied to global warming.

Mr know-everything, please help us. All the physics is telling us one thing, and you are telling us something else. Please tell us why physics is misleading us. The world needs you, Mr Know Everything because the people who actually understand weather and climate have got it wrong. Please explain why you are having a cold winter. Or if you choose, just go on exposing yourself as an ignorant ranter.
