As opposed to yourself, who can only change lessened rate of increase into "slow down (pause, plateau, leveling off, whatever)"?
Using a graph that looks dramatic but still shows a positive rate of increase? That would be completely contrary to your claim if you hadn't smeared out the definition?

Of course you didn't, anymore than you acknowledged that your reference graph doesn't indicate a temperature pause, or noted that the "recent slowdown" you quote from Hansen is neither a pause nor a plateau.

You can see here where James Hansen got caught corrupting the data. In the thirties there were years warmer than any time in the last ten years. Every one knew it and admitted it until James Hansen, the admitted Communist agitator, changed history. When will you ever learn?
Besides, the question was about a pause. Even Phil Jones has admitted it paused. Even if your claim was true, OM's question asked whether it PAUSED. Your statement could be true, although it is not, and the earth's temperature could could have dropped slightly. OM asked if the temperature's climb has PAUSED. But apparently your mind can't comprehend such difficult scientific concepts as a PAUSE! You have to throw a tantrum and demean the condition of his undies. What are you doing? How the **** can you believe there has been no warming when the 10 warmest years out of 132 years on record occurred within the last 15 years. This was determined by real time temperatures averaged from 1300 weather stations.
The guy who started this no warming bullsh*t said 16 years then the great denier in the muck changed it to 17 years and now since the 10 warmest have been in the last 15 years it is now bastardized to be 15 years.

If you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a lottery to attempt to explain away the pause you will have many takers such as Trenberth, just as Mann did more than a decade ago. Mann was the original lottery winner but that hasn't gone unnoticed. I can't help but think that Trenberth doesn't really have a furthering of science as his goal. His goal seems to be to protect the cause and I wonder if he has just tried to purchase his winning ticket to fame and fortune if not copious pats on the back from his comrades.
I would hazzard a guess that those who are the most shrill in objecting to anything that counters Warmist's claims of continued warming are in the employ of an agency or business that depends upon Taxpayer funding to keep their careers/jobs financed. In order to keep the funding going, the threat of 'catastrophic, man-did-it, global warming' must maintain its momentum.

And I could also include Kevin Trenberth who insists there is still continued warming just not in the surface temperature data but rather hidden in the oceans (this is what skeptical science is latching onto by the way: http://skepticalscience.com/new-research-confirms-global-warming-has-accelerated.html ).

Note that this question is not about what the slow down (pause, plateau, leveling off, whatever) means or if it is part of a longer trend or if it's too short of a trend. It's about acknowledging that warming in the past 15 years is less than the previous 15 years or so. It's about global temperatures leveling off. It's about climate scientists being puzzled as to why it is happening and thus trying to explain the different possible causes.
So simply stated, who is denying that a global warming pause exists at all?
