Which Peanuts character is most like a typical YA denier of the science of global warming?

My first thought was of Snoopy, the world famous climatologist. By then I realized that you were asking about deniers.

Interesting question. It is tempting to think of Pig Pen, who is always leaving a big mess. But being a denier is about character, or lack thereof. Lucy is crabby, like Maxx, but Peppermint Patty is manipulative, like NW Portland Jack.

edit

Actually, I think that Pig Pen is more like coal, than like any denier. I can imagine Lucy and Peppermint Patty bowing down before Pig Pen, as well as hacking the email of Snoopy, the world famous climatologist.

Here is the sound of the Congressman who interegates Snoopy, the world famous climatologist.

Let us just say that Charles Schultz was too honest to come up with a character that would resemble today's deniers of the global warming. I certainly never saw one of his characters say that it is all just a big hoax by Al Gore.

Lucy most often totally oblivious of the facts and devoid of common sense and gets violent when challenged

The Peanuts characters were all basically good-hearted, which makes a comparison with most deniers impossible.

In that particular strip I'd say the football becuase it is a brainless object maipulated by a smart and clever, but selfish handler.

Lucy.

I'm not sure ...

But my mother, who's a nurse, says Woodstock.

It's your pride, isn't it?

You can't admit that you took the wrong side of this issue, can you?

Does it bother you that we are not warming?

Do you wish it were, along with all the hurricanes we are supposed to get just so you can say you were right?
