If a tree or other plant has a viral infection then it can not spread to humans because the virus can only reproduce in the living cells of the tree or plant.
Why would you want to add a virus to a tree?
Are people going to eat the fruit/seeds/leaves of the tree?
There is evidence that plant viruses can infect humans, but there are no known plant viruses that are clinically shown to be human pathogens.
