The climate is going to change, whether we like it or not. What do we do?

http://www.rkm.com.au/ANIMATIONS/carbon-... <== here's the physics.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warm...

"The finding that the climate has warmed in recent decades and that human activities are already contributing adversely to global climate change has been endorsed by every national science academy that has issued a statement on climate change, including the science academies of ALL OF THE MAJOR INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRIES."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_...

"With the release of the revised statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2007, no remaining scientific body of national or international standing is known to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change."

IE, NO REPUTABLE SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATION NOW CLAIMS THAT AGW IS NOT REAL.

SO, I know that you think that you're way smarter than all those scientists, all around the entire world.

But you just might consider the possibility that they do know something.

What we need to do is stop burning fossil fuel.

People can't change or control the climate no matter how much Alarmist propaganda says we can. We need to stop spending billions of taxpayer dollars on this SCAM that been going on for more than 30 years already.

There is NO **man-made** Global Warming and there has never been any.

What global warming? It's been cooling for at least 12 years according to HadCrut3 & HadCrut4 is nearly flat. http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/hadcrut...

According to RSS Satellite data there has been no warming for more than 18 years.

Do our best to slow down the process whilst we wait for the technology that will hopefully come. Or accept our fate as we are the biggest parasites ever to hit the earth. We could also try to adapt as other creatures clearly have, its not a one day 5 degrees, the next day 500, its more gradual. Or of course we can do what we're doing at the moment and deny that it is happening.

We do our own parts in making climate change less impacting. Solar energy, recycling, ride a bike etc. it makes a difference.

I'd love to jump in and help with your essay, but you need to provide more details. Who is "we"?

American voters? all we can do is vote.

Company managers?

High school students?

Individuals? Hint: not much.

Nothing an individual does can compete with what American industry does. It is really about the economic rules that American voters set. Does every company have unlimited rights to land, to use or to dump on? Does every American company have unlimited rights to water, to use or to dump in. Does every American company have unlimited rights to our air, to use or to dump in?

These are questions for American voters.

Adapt. When it is cold, put on a sweater. When it rains, bring an umbrella. When it is hot, don't forget the SPF 45.

No-one has even proven that warming would be bad, it is just assumed that it would be.

I disagree, studies of past historical warming events, like the Medieval, the Roman the Minoan, going right back to the Holocene climate Optimum, have always shown them to be periods when life has flourished, and great civilizations born and grown.

I'm going to order a copy of 'Chicken Little' from Amazon and read it cover to cover for inspiration.

Same thing people did for thousands of years when it would get colder for a few centurys and then hotter for a few centurys. Suck it up and deal.

prepare. it takes time to build dams where sea levels rise. It takes planning to build cities less vulnerable to extreme weather events.

we can be more prepared for more possible things

Nothing man can do.
