I think either will work, but you should assume that you will be going to graduate school. For that reason, it would be good for you to learn other core sciences, particularly physics and math. Consider being a physics minor with either of those majors, it will help prepare for going further in the field--it is difficult to pick up those things in graduate school.
You should also become comfortable with computers. Not programming in particular, but using spreadsheets, GIS and analyzing statistics on the computer.
Geography and Geology are good especially Geology as there is plenty of work for Geologists, and a chance to go outside in the field, where you can be closer to nature.
One suggestion. Don't be intimidated by what people think if you choose Geography.
Become a hydrogeologist. There will always be a need for clean water.
I would want to study a female USMC major. Then, again, maybe not.
I recently asked this question but got no answer. I'm an environmental conscious person... That statement would pretty surmise me in a nutshell. I see climate change and i am so intrigued by it. I have always been around nature, fishing and hunting tough you might say thats exploiting the environment i do it in a means that is not too exploitative and it is where my bond with nature has been formed. I have always loved watching National Geographic and reading their magazines. I want to do something that will help global warming and other aspects of the earth and changing climates. To be honest i am also intrigued by human geography too which makes me lean towards a Geography major but i hate the stigma behind it as people often talk trash and don't see the beautiful subject for which it is. Which Major would you suggest from Geography, Geology or Geoscience? I am in first year doing both Geology and Geography courses.
