You aren't the last white Aussie. I have a fellow geologist from Australia working down the hall but maybe I am making your point since he isn't there in Australia. He is here in California
To put it simply, yes. That could very well be how life started. There is lots of mixing of chemicals and minerals around geothermal vents, and is currently a hypothesis in the scientific community. There are several other ideas, such as life forming in tidal pools, or even Transpermia.
Why not? Primordial soup and energy to keep things warm seems like a possibility.
Yeah, because everybody knows when you take sterile water and boil it, the first thing that happens is you have all kinds of life-forms jumping out of it.

no God did that
Is it possible for geothermal vents to have start the tree of life on earth?
And as such started all life on earth?
This is only my opinion and I can't really back this up worth any evidence and as such would really like some idea or opinions of your own.
And any backing information on the tree of life and of more ancient contexts of how life start, adapted, and evoled into life as we know it today?
And yes this is a copy and paste but its from one of my other earlier questions.
