If so-called "global warming" causes more lightning, can we count the number of strikes to see if we're ma

Global warming is fake, as all sensible people know. It was instigated by that liberal lunatic and obese Al Gore, who derived his misinformation from the demonic voices in his head.

A study would have to be done over the course of roughly 100 years or more to collect significant data. It may drop over the course of the next 5 years and some may say scientists were wrong. But then over the course of the next 20 years it may only rise 10%. The problem with global warming and climate change in general is that it's a very gradual process. It's hard to see a problem with pumping nearly 30 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere when it can take half a life time to start seeing the effects.

The variability from year to year is huge, the size of the ice caps is a better indicator, lightening strikes are non linear, and affected by things out side the earths atmosphere.

I call that desperation to instill fear into the gullible and easily led

Perhaps this energy can be harnessed, which would then reduce CO2 emissions.

This seems easy. Scientists have proven in peer reviewed papers that global warming causes more lightning strikes. So if the number of lightning strikes counted is declining, then we can conclude that global warming is being cured. Right? Fewer lightning strikes will prove the Earth is recovering from its fever.
