THEREFORE, be it known that the Firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe has filed suit against the state of Ohoho for frivolous persecution, demanding that the state of Ohohho render itself to be available for annexation by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
To quote the prosecutor behind this "I am a lifelong conservative Republican..." Was there really any doubt about this? First Ken Cuccinelli and now this guy Gmoser, each of them desperate for attention and short on scientific knowledge. It's amazing that the states of Virginia and Pennsylvania have so little crime that the Republican prosecutors think their time is better spent going after scientists and groundhogs.
CORRECTION: From Oikos' answer I realized that Gmoser is from Ohio, not Pennsylvania--sorry about any confusion this may have caused.
I'm against the death penalty in principle. If you kill one innocent groundhog it makes us all murderers. I know there is eyewitness testimony in this case but, and I don't mean to sound racist, all groundhogs look pretty much the same to me. I don't want to take that chance. He probably just went along with what the Liberal media wanted him to predict anyways.

Oh oh, it's going to come out in the trial that Punxsutawney Phil is in the pay of big oil. Maybe he'll name names in a deal with the prosecution to save his furry *** and break this thing wide open.
I think it is unfair to compare Al Gore to Punxsutawney. Punx was only wrong once and how could you be mad at a face like that.
