If Earth atmosphere was thicker?

Lets say Earths atmosphere was 15 bar how would the climate be affected? What would be the temperature differences be between day/night and summer/winter?

All people would look like blintz... =D

You need to specify whether the greenhouse gases are scaled up in proportion. The more greenhouse gases you put in the atmosphere, the warmer the planet will be and the smaller the difference between day and night.

You already choose BA, but thicker atmosphere would cause the temp of the Earth to be warmer. It would also cause less of a change between seasons and day or night. Generally, the increased energy in the atmosphere and thickness of the atmosphere would create more circulation which would distribute the heat across the entirety of the planet.

A simple example is Venus. Venus has a much thicker atmosphere, very little temperature deviation from day to night, from summer to winter and from pole to pole. BUT Venus is much hotter than the Earth.

The atmosphere of Earth is a layer of gases surrounding the planet Earth that is retained by Earth's gravity. The atmosphere protects life on Earth by absorbing ultraviolet solar radiation, warming the surface through heat retention (greenhouse effect), and reducing temperature extremes between day and night (the diurnal temperature variation).

The common name given to the atmospheric gases used in breathing and photosynthesis is air. By volume, dry air contains 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen,0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases. Air also contains a variable amount of water vapor, on average around 1%. Although air content and atmospheric pressure vary at different layers, air suitable for the survival of terrestrial plants and terrestrial animals currently is only known to be found in Earth's troposphere and artificial atmospheres.
