I think you're on the right track Sagebrush, I think there are clowns that are trying to go into climate science, but they don't have Ph.D.s

Most clowns have great senses of humor and enjoy life. I think that would make them veer away from alarmisms but other than that, it is hard to find fault with your theory.
Go to D.C. and visit congress you will see 244 of them.

This article shows that there is a shortage of clowns. My theory is that they all went into Climate Science and now have PhDs on that subject.
