You want to make a difference? Find where your skills lie and contribute to society in that manner. If your skills lie in science and math, we could certainly use more people skilled in those areas and you will never be hurting for gainful employment.
As for international politics, you have to be kidding me. We are quite literally on the verge of WW3. With all the crap going on in the ME, Russia, China, etc, we could be looking at global nuclear war. You are worried about 0.8 degrees of temp rise over the past 100 years???
As for your view of saving the world: Be kind to others and raise your children to be kind, considerate and productive citizens. If you do these things, you will help mankind far more than some attempt to follow the newest environmental cause.

Well then get across to the public that Global Warming, Climate Change or environmental movements by any other name is causing great harm to the world. Economies have been ruined. Lives have been ruined. Evil people acting as the 'Saviors of the World' like Al Gore and George Soros have become richer by the promotion of this unfounded theory. Many people go to bed scared that the is world burning up.
We all know that this CC movement is a thinly veiled attempt to get every person signed on to Communism or a one world government.

So if you want to save the world, and are really sincere about it, find out the true science and stop politicizing the subject. For it is clear what the intentions of the leaders of this environmental movement are.

Do you want to be a part in taking female nurses out and decapitating them as ISIS is doing right now in Iraq?

Well you can be smart enough to see what happened in Russia back a hundred years ago when people did not go along with Stalin. What horrible torture! What horrible deaths! And what misery for the masses that followed and all so that a few power hungry evil people could live the life of luxury. Yes Stalin and Hitler were our to save the world too.
Is it politics or science you are truly interested in? Remember Science and nature have historically provided the needs of the people. Politics and especially Communism can only ration out the needs of the people. Just look at Russia and Cuba.
Who might pay you, and to do what?
Currently, the fossil fuel industry pays people to lobby against any legislation regulating fossil fuel use.
Various solar panel and turbine producers lobby to get legislation favorable to their products, and prevent legislation harmful to their products.
Various environmental groups lobby to get legislation friendly to the environment passed.
Of these, the fossil fuel industry has, by far, the most money available to push their agenda.
However, to get any of that money, you probably have to have some sort of reputation.
At this point, I wouldn't be restricting my studies to this very limited sector of the economy.
It is hoped that you don't make your quest about an emotional attachment. It seems that Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is more about how people "feel" than it is about the "facts".

The recent warming of 0.8C in the past 350 years means nothing if you think scientific research is accurate. Climate science is especially biased when it comes to media publications. It seems that media writers have a strong bias that is highly based on an emotional attachment which becomes an "emotionally biased political attachment" to the science.

I am currently an undergrad majoring in Politics and International relations and am really beginning to grow a passion for the environment and global warming etc. I want to do something that can help get the world in the right direction but not sure what my options are, do you guys have any ideas? They don't have to be related to politics but would be useful as it is my degree.
