Certainly someone should be able to legitimately ask where is the evidence to believe that the Earth is warming. From these we can conclude that the Earth is warming. From that point we might question what we can do about this but instead the conversation has gotten quite bogged down is whether humans are responsible for this warming trend. It seems you could take the approach that it is "Natural" and that we are all Doomed, and there is nothing we should or could do. That it is "Natural" and we should discover what changes we can affect to adjust our environment and help ourselves. After all Earthquakes and tsunami's are "natural" but we don't just leave people to die. Or that it is Man Made and we should work to change what we are doing as fast as possible.
But concurrently we can look to see if there are ulterior motives on the part of some. Most of the Denier literature is ultimately supplied by the well funded Koch Brothers and the fossil fuel industry in general. Their rational is that global warming is a threat to the Economics of our business so we will outspend all other studies to deny its existence. Cigarette companies once tried to do the same for their products. On this basis alone some would question the authority of the source. Others may suggest that such an economics before well being approach is basically evil.
What could possibly be a reason for a global warming "hoax?" Is there a vast conspiracy to breath clean air and not die from pollutants in our environment? Are we "supposed" to simply not question, pay our "due" to the fossil fuel industry and die like good little drones?
History may show that allowing this discussion was the largest cause of the delay in action and consequently the primary cause of the demise of our civilization ... all so you can have your question, but understand that in addition to exercising your "rights" you are also choosing sides.
The idea behind global warming is that the average temp of the oceans has gone up 1 degree c. Its not much, until you realize that 70% of the earth is water, roughly 1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 liters of water. To raise the water 1 degree c it requires 5,270,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 jouls of energy. In reality its even more because you have to consider the heat that is radiated away from the earth. Global warming is a fact, the question is what is causing global warming? Is it a normal process that the earth goes through every couple thousand years or are we the cause?
Because global warming is not mutually exclusive with the concept that climates can shift naturally.
Global warming unfortunately has been proven, and is easily traceable and noticeable. Global warming also does not refer simply to temperatures getting warmer over time, it's a simple buzzword that refers to a much larger and more complex situation.
The Earth utilizes a greenhouse effect, our atmosphere is very good at trapping energy within it and has a natural cycle for this energy that keeps the planet stable and luckily keeps the climate nice enough for life. The problem with Earth's greenhouse effect and our sister planet Venus', is that there is a limit to the amount of energy that can be naturally cycled without causing erratic side effects.
This is where "Global Warming" comes in, the erratic nature of an increased trapping of energy the natural cycle does not account for. As more and more energy builds up within the atmosphere the weather becomes more erratic, causing more hurricanes, polar vortexes, blizzards, tornadoes, etc.
Some of these storms mentioned are cold in nature! That's why global warming is simply a buzz word and not actually entirely accurate, it makes people think it doesn't exist when temperatures get colder. It's actually referred to as global warming because analyzing several years this increased energy and erratic behavior causes temperature, on average, to increase with time as well.
Also, the thought that we do not contribute enough to cause gases is... silly. To say the least. I'm quite concerned for where you are getting your information from, I hope it's not T.V. or blogs.

People believe in global Warming because of a lie. There isn't anyone up to date who believes in 'Global Warming'. Even its supporters know it isn't true so now they terrify you with words like 'Climate Change'. Would someone out there quantify Climate Change? Define it clearly enough so that we can test it. I lived in a small town and there were some kids who believed in the 'Boogy Man' who lived under the bridge. I lived not too far from that bridge and being the naive little kid that I was went down there many times to see what this Boogie Man looked like. Never did see that man but I did see young lovers down there. Do you think someone started that rumor to chase us pests off? However, I had several friends who say they saw that Boogie Man even into their teens.

I take it you do know check your facts. "We don't even contribute enough to cause enough gases" going from 280PPM to over 400PPM, while the rest of it going into the ocean is not a reasonable claim. Your really need to do some basic math. The world burns 80million barrels of oil , in addition to millions of tons of coal every day. where do you think that CO2 ends up?
as for the climate has changed before, yes but for the same laws of physics- and that includes concentration of greenhouse gases which increase and decrease over geologic time scales.

There is no such thing as global warming, and climate change is completely natural. Look back millions of years before humans existed and it was hotter than it is today and that's before cars, gasoline, coal etc. We don't even contribute enough to cause enough gases.

How can the world have been hotter before if there is no such thing as global warming?
Most of the time people are whimsical behavior in this global warming.when they are suffering a problem in this system then they are trusted.
My flat is 20 degrees C at the moment. The air temperature outside is about 15 degrees. The reason my flat is warmer than outside is predominantly because, for the last hour, I've had the oven on which has warmed it.
Last summer my flat was 26 degrees on a sunny day.
Now, is the fact that my flat was 26 degrees last summer 'proof' that today's temperature isn't partially due to the oven I had on? Is the fact that the world was warmer in the past 'proof' that recent temperatures aren't partially due to our emissions of greenhouse gases?
We produce 30 billions tonnes of CO2 per year or about 950 tonnes per second that we pump into the atmosphere. And we know CO2 is a greenhouse gas that traps heat. I find it very difficult to accept a view that says pumping 950 tonnes per second of a gas we know traps heat somehow magically won't trap heat!
Most educated people ACCEPT the proven science of climate change because:
They don't think that lightning fires mean arson is myth.
