What's the most drastic action you think government should do to help end so-called "global warming"?

First, cease all funding and subsidies for AGW research and 'green' industries.

Second, eliminate the false data that is used to justify the looting of taxpayers.

Third, find those who are responsible for the hoax and bring them to justice.

Those actions will cause "Global Warming" to disappear in short order!.

al gore is wrong . we are already passed the point of no return . remember 12 21 12 when the mayan calender ended ? and then the day came and went and it seemed like nothing happened ? something happened . that was the day on earth when atmospheric CO2 hit 400 ppm * .THAT is the point of no return . warming will start to get exponentialy worse . by 2023 , after 5 years of ever worsening worldwide crop failures , food will be made from people ( shades of soylent green ) , by the 2030s the seas will boil off into space and humanity turns to dust . money won't help , the secret government bunkers won't help , the deniers die too .

see you on the other side dr jello

I would certainly support the building of nuclear power plants, continuing investment in solar power, and a movement of car manufacturers to electric cars. In the end, I think all of these measures would end up saving the consumer more than it costs.

As far as the tipping point and catastrophe crap though. That is just political clap-trap. Anyone claiming that garbage rhetoric has anything to do with science, either has no knowledge of science or is purposefully lying.

Many climate scientists are currently working to figure out what is causing the slowdown, because if it continues, it would call into question the legitimacy of many climate model projections (and inversely offer some good news for our planet).

As a condition to operate fossil fuel power plants, for every megawatt of coal power they must have 3 megawatts of zero emission power in the works, under construction or no more than one year from being under construction. 2 megawatts of zero emission power for every megawatt of natural gas power.

who pays you to use yahoo answers?

move aggressively to replace all fossil fuel burning.

According to Algore, we have less than one year before the earth reaches the tipping point and there's nothing we can do to save the planet after that. This is no longer a question of "IF" but now one of "WHEN". Seeing that the pending doom of the tipping point is approaching, drastic action is needed to avert us from this point. The government needs to act quickly with strong measures. What do you think needs to be done?
