Who gets invited to speak and hold press conferences at climate talks?

Posted at: 2015-03-12
Atleast this shows they are capable of learning, since in the past with activist keep getting snowed out it makes sense to bring them indoors.

<<1. The climate talks are a gathering of sovereign nations to try to reach a climate change deal. What nation does the Climate Action Network International represent?>>

Many nations and NGO's from all over the planet, which you could have found out yourself had you actually bothered to be a real skeptic and research it a bit.

<<2. The public are not even invited into the climate talks so how did environmentalist activists get invited?>>

Because they researched and found out how to do just that. There's nothing secretive as you imply (as usual): in 2003 already the UNFCCC put out some simple guidelines for all those NGO's and which are not limited to 'environmentalist activists' as you again imply: The Competitive Enterprise Institute is also on their list of admitted NGO's as are other Washington based conservative think-tanks.

<<3. Were you aware of this before this question?>>

Yes, I don't spend all my free time reading denier blogs; I actually learn stuff.

CR: If you were civil and intelligent 'Mad Maxx' wouldn't block you. Why don't you be a man and apologize for the name calling and I'm sure he would unblock you.

In direct answer to the question: Would Al Capone invite Elliot Ness into his meetings?

Aggravating to know that people think they are so "elite" and "know" how to "save-the-planet".

Climate science arrogance!

They can't explain how the climate works, yet they know how to save the Planet from human infestation. Total arrogance IMO!

Government is better at serving the people in disasters (like the tornado than just went through my home town of Washington, Illinois), then they are at trying to govern any type of climate change. People need to rise up and shut this down immediately IMO.

We can't and never will be able to change the climate!

Its only the brainwashed minions . I wish I could go there

I would go to the booths and have a laugh at their expense .

Besides Japan bailed and other countrys wont do that garbarge

at the expense of their countrys ecomonys and send them back

to the 1300s serfs societys .

When Madd Maxx is hosting the climate talks, only denialists who lack real answers are invited.

Sagebrush

< If you were civil and intelligent 'Mad Maxx' wouldn't block you.>

You mean if I kissed his rear end

How about if you and Maxx apologize for calling James Hansen, Michael Mann and any other climatologist names. All they have ever done, even if they were to turn out to be wrong is to warn about what they see as impending danger and to tell us how to protect ourselves. What is wrong with that?

Al Capone is a very good analogy to Maxx.

As you may be aware, COP19 is currently being held in Warsaw Poland. What you might not be aware of is who has access to this convention.

It appears that several NGOs like the Climate Action Network, which consists of NGOs like Greenpeace and 350.org actually has a booth set up and access to press conference facilities thereby having an audience with the world's press.

Here is an example of an event which they themselves label as a "stunt": http://www.climatenetwork.org/press-release/polish-governments-coal-addition-has-high-cost-peoples-health-and-climate

I know it may be hard to believe but this is not a protest outside the venue. It's inside, it's scheduled, it's approved, it has its own webcast and it's being conducted by full blown activists. So on to my questions:

1. The climate talks are a gathering of sovereign nations to try to reach a climate change deal. What nation does the Climate Action Network International represent? Greenpeace? WWF? 350.org?

2. The public are not even invited into the climate talks so how did environmentalist activists get invited?

3. Were you aware of this before this question?
