What is the lowest number of scientists needed to prove global warming is real?

ZERO is the correct number scientists needed to prove any theory is correct. It does not matter if every scientist on the planet says "X" --- but the truth is "Y". Then "Y" is still correct. There has never been any such thing as a 97% consensus among climate scientists that global warming is man-made. There is probably 97% that agrees there has been some warming which appears to have ended around the year 2000. And maybe there is even 97% that says CO2 is a Greenhouse Gas. That's fine, I agree.

But the Cook et al paper was complete, utter, laughable nonsense. It was pure Commie style propaganda and not worth the paper it was written on. Read all about it here: http://www.climatedepot.com/2013/06/05/w...

What is the lowest number of scientists needed to prove global warming is real because 97% of scientists claim it's true.

Damn jello you just admitted/conceded that all your arguments are just to jack your jaws.

Maxx what do you think of the parting?

No number can completely prove it. However disproof is another matter.

When Einstein proposed his theory of relativity, there was a book published called 100 authors against Einstein, with work from different scientists ad some 60 papers included. Einstein's response was, if my theory was wrong all you needed was one paper.

None. What exists in reality does not require anyone to believe it is real. It's realness isn't dependent on anyone believing it to be real. However, scientific knowledge of it's realness is better understood by someone who knows the ins and outs behind the theory than someone who does not, such as yourself.

It's not up to a scientist to prove that global warming is real. It's dependent upon their research and data.... And global warming is real. Only crazy people say it isn't.

Science is not about a show of hands. It's about evidence. Global warming is happening

And we are causing it

The ten warmest years in the instrumental record are 2010, 2005, 2009, 2007, 2002, 1998, 2006, 2003, 2011 and 2012.

When confronted with such evidence, scientists have a tendency to accept it.

How many scientists believe that Earth is flat?

Madd Maxx

That from someone who gets his information from someone whose name sounds like Russia (Rush Limbaugh)

If you are living on planet Earth and not the moon, and have a modicum of scientific knowledge, a handful of bonafide scientists would suffice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_... If you believe that alien Reptilian-creatures control science, history and people's reception of reality, then global warming, gravity, the roundness of the moon and earth, etc. are unprovable no matter how many scientists are involved. Absent such a galactic conspiracy over centuries, the science of climate change is clear:

If you prefer to regard science as a massive hoax, here is your Guru (the guy standing on the stage):

Only one. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

One, as long as he's right. A pity all your "mavericks" are lying and wrong

one with gud attitude

So many times we hear that so-called "global warming" is true because 97% of scientists claim it's true. What is the smallest percentage of scientists required to make a theory become true? Is it 51%, or is a 67% majority needed?
