Depends on what sort of push, in general I would say, but governments should stop massively subsidizing the fossil fuel industry, and politicians who take fossil fuel industry donations and lie about science should be called out.

I tend to think hybrid cars are becoming more and more technologically feasible and are getting better. When they can compete, they will. Now they are mostly getting bought by those who want to make a statement rather than economical / practical reasons. No, I think Uncle Sam should keep its fat nose out of it.
With electric hybrid cars sales slumping, do you think government should do more to incentivize the sales of electric or hybrid vehicles by increasing taxes on SUV's, providing tax credits to hybrid car purchases, increasing the gas tax to raise gas prices closer to European gas prices or a combination of the above? After all, more polar bears will die if we don't start driving more hybrids.
